Pelvic Floor Reconstruction and Urinary Incontinence

With new treatment options available, women can now restore, and may improve, their active lifestyle.

Urinary Incontinence
Depending on the problem, you may exhibit an inability to hold urine, frequent urination, inability to urinate, painful urination or incomplete bladder emptying.

Female Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)
Female stress urinary incontinence can develop slowly as you age and may often be a result of childbirth. It generally occurs when your pelvic muscles are not strong enough to keep the opening from the bladder neck closed when you’re under physical stress, which includes laughing, coughing, lifting, exercising or increased abdominal pressure.

Pelvice Organ Prolapse

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the pelvic floor muscles become too weak to hold the bladder, uterus, vaginal wall or rectum in place. Signs include heaviness or pressure on the pelvis, vaginal pain, vaginal pressure, vaginal bleeding, a bulge protruding from the vagina, pain during intercourse, urinary or fecal incontinence, and slow urinary stream or urinary urgency.
